Omicron Exposure

We know a lot of people who took vaccines for Covid. I guess it worked…because many of them now have it.

After two years of neurotic germaphobia, authoritarian lockdowns, economic destruction, unhinged hypochondria, useless mask mandates, irrational fear, catastrophic school closures, never-ending nasal swabs, idiotic floor stickers, unwarranted travel restrictions, dystopian plexiglass, decimated cities, and a diabolically coercive program to inject entire populations with novel medication of dubious benefit, the dysfunctional edicts from political charlatans and bureaucratic hacks have annihilated what little remained of our cultural cohesion while producing viral prevalence unseen since Covid crossed the Pacific.

For the last few weeks, the “Omicron variant” has flowed around the world like hard rain thru a pergola. But as whole populations get soaked, the “public health” hacks keep taking away the towels. 

While maintaining “Certificate of Need” requirements that limit new facilities, and imposing vaccine mandates that compelled many healthcare workers to abandon hospitals, the government continues to deprive sick people of Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, and other proven treatments that would keep them from filling available beds. And then they blame the “unvaccinated” for the lack of available care.

As is so often the case when deficiencies arise, “overwhelmed” hospitals are the result of a government-induced shortage. As I’ve said before, this is a political problem, not a medical one. To the extent hospitals are “overwhelmed”, politicians or their own administrators created the constraint. 

It’s tempting to think the culprits are inept. But it’s more likely they’re incentivized. It’s hard to escape the conclusion that every restrictive edict politicians pronounce is designed not to alleviate the ailment, but to promote one particularly lucrative “remedy”.

From the beginning of this fiasco, all roads have led to the “vaccines”. The enforced confinement, recall of treatments, and institutionalized inconvenience that characterized the first “plague year“ primed a captive market to clamor for salvation in a syringe. 

When it arrived, the purveyors of “the science” assured us it would prevent Covid and stop its spread. It was a miracle! Those who got the shot would be shielded; those who didn’t assumed their own risk. But regardless…even in the nuttiest of the corona-crackpot states…lockdowns could end, masks could come off, and pre-pestilential life could resume.

The notion that these novel “vaccines“ would treat Covid like a Phoenix sidewalk treats ice was always ludicrous. But that was the sales pitch, and the basis on which most people initially rolled up their sleeve. 

Not that they were necessarily wrong to do so. The prospect that the shots mitigate effects of Covid, even if they don’t stop infection, would seem to make them a reasonable option for high-risk cohorts. 

But the “experts” we’re supposed to trust now had no compunction about offering false assurances then…just as they’ve lied, prevaricated, and misled throughout this travesty. Why should we now trust these charlatans, who’ve been “wrong” (if we are being charitable) about almost everything since the first fake videos came out of Wuhan?

Very few who lined up for their two shots ten months ago did so assuming they’d need another round before the year ended, or that in 2022 they should expect to stay inside, wear masks, demonize the “unvaccinated”…and still catch Covid. 

To some extent, that’s not unusual. Information changes, and we learn from it. Or we should. 

But the reams of new and contradictory data induce no humility among those pushing this psychotic program. It only reinforces their arrogance. Rather than reconsider, they reassert.

There’s no introspection, no questioning, no doubt. Just doubling down on more shots, new mandates, and added restrictions. All the while, it’s become acceptable in America to heap official opprobrium and social denigration on anyone with the temerity to decline injection of unwanted substances. 

Notwithstanding the gaslighting now flickering around the world, we also wouldn’t have expected Covid deaths in the twelve months since vaccination began to far exceed those in the year before the juice began to flow. But our experts always have an answer, even if it’s moronic. And they’ve come thru once again, on both counts.

According to them, there’s a perfectly good reason Covid cases and deaths are mounting among those who took the vaccine: those who didn’t take it! But like a nude beach on the Jersey shore, that theory sounds better than experience will admit.

We now learn that Omicron not only evades vaccines, but that those who’ve taken them may be more vulnerable to it than those who haven’t. Naturally, our data-driven “experts” are doing with this revelation exactly what we’d expect: they’re ignoring it. Instead, they’ve donned their lab coats, grabbed their clipboards, tipped their beakers, rubbed their chins, furrowed their brows, and made the most scientifically reasonable recommendations the new evidence demands:

More vaccine mandates!

Over the last six months, the goal of “pandemic policy” seemed to have changed from “stop the virus at all cost” to “increase vaccination rates at all cost”. Both objectives are idiotic.

But like the Federal Reserve pumping more money every time the stock market tanks, it’s all they know to do. When you’re selling hammers, you try to make everything look like a nail.

The Covid Regime claims they’ve been “patient”. They assure us that they tried initially to “persuade” people to take the shots, but that the “voluntary approach” didn’t work. 

But an approach isn’t “voluntary” if the response to refusal is the use of force to compel compliance. They wanted us to think we had a choice, and that if we made the “right” one they’d never have to reveal that the alternate “option” was only an illusion. But the admirable obstinance of the American people prompted the authoritarians to reveal the iron fist within the velvet glove.

Meanwhile, not only have millions…vaccinated or not…been exposed to this new variant, but the variant has exposed itself – as being more contagious and less virulent than those that came before. It produces mild symptoms, induces immunity, and moves on, like a free vaccine floating rapidly thru the air. 

Maybe that’s why the “public health” establishment is so concerned about it. Not that it’s a more deadly form of the disease, but that it’s credible competition for their more profitable “cure”. There seems to be an urgency to scare the serum into every arm, perhaps before prevalent data convinces previous adopters that compulsion is unwarranted for the remaining skeptics. We’ll see.

For now, this year is a disconcerting continuation of the worst elements of the last. Hysterical panic, cultural corrosion, and erosion of liberty seem set to persist.

And, last Sunday, in our basement, a corner of the room felt as if I’d wandered onto a wet sponge. Because I had. After days of torrential rain leading into the new year, external water breached our reinforced defenses. It found its way beneath the baseboards, and under the carpeting, which is once again pulled up.

Apparently, Covid isn’t the only thing that’ll continue to be endemic.
